When I was a very young boy, I sat in a dome at Beijing Planetarium and enjoyed the dark. Astronomy, to me, is science and more. It reveals something beyond our imaginations and discovery new worlds. Besides, astronomy is beautiful and amazing to share with everyone. I would like to investigate, teach, present and talk with you about the world that can be understood from our pale blue dot.
Now I work at DoA, BNU as a lecturer. I am working on the study of Galactic stucture, stellar binarity, and something new based on spectral survey data. Also, I publish articles and make mini videos for public outreach. I give a new lesson History of Astronomy at BNU.

Usually some web-based models need to be submitted many times to collect full dataset. A python code has been developped for this application.
We estimate the fraction of F,G,K stars with close binary companions by analysing multi-epoch stellar spectra from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and LAMOST for radial velocity variations. We employ a Bayesian method to infer the maximum likelihood of the fraction of binary stars with orbital periods of 1000 days or shorter, assuming a simple model distribution for a binary population with circular orbits. The metal-rich stars from our sample are therefore substantially less likely to possess a close binary companion than otherwise similar stars drawn from metal-poor populations. The different ages and formation environments of the Milky Way’s thin disk, thick disk, and halo may contribute to explaining these observations. Alternatively, metallicity may have a significant effect on the formation and/or evolution of binary stars.
